The Amical Burundais du Grand Moncton (ABGM) Inc. is a non-profit community organization founded in October 2024 to celebrate Burundian heritage and strengthen the bonds that unite our growing community in the Greater Moncton region.
Our mission is to promote Burundian culture, facilitate the integration of newcomers into Canadian society, and support the holistic development of youth. Through cultural festivals, bilingual workshops, mentorship programs, and community events, ABGM provides a welcoming environment where individuals of all ages and backgrounds can connect, learn, and grow.
We envision a united, empowered, and bilingual community that contributes meaningfully to the social, cultural, and economic fabric of Greater Moncton. Whether you are of Burundian origin or simply passionate about cultural diversity, ABGM invites you to join us in building a stronger and more vibrant future together.
Our Key Goals

By fostering social engagement and providing a safe space for cultural exchange, ABGM helps strengthen the bonds that unite our diverse community in the Greater Moncton region.
ABGM is dedicated to supporting newcomers and youth through mentorship programs, cultural workshops, and leadership initiatives. By guiding individuals in their integration into Canadian society and encouraging youth entrepreneurship and leadership, the organization empowers members to reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully to their community.
Through cultural, educational, and social events, as well as partnerships with other organizations and institutions, ABGM celebrates Burundian heritage while promoting intercultural collaboration. These efforts enrich the multicultural fabric of Greater Moncton, fostering understanding, diversity, and a stronger, more vibrant community for all.
